Welcome Message from His Eminence Archbishop Daniel
the Academic Dean of St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with great joy and gratitude to God that I welcome you to the first edition of the St. Sophia Quarterly, a publication of St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary. As our seminary enters its 50th year of existence, we celebrate a profound legacy of academic excellence and spiritual formation that has shaped generations of clergy and faithful leaders for the glory of God and the edification of His Holy Church.
This milestone year is made even more special through the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Antony, whose vision and support have guided the seminary through decades of service to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA. Under the capable editorial leadership of Dr. Gayle Woloschak, this inaugural edition of the St. Sophia Quarterly is now available for review on our seminary’s website. I invite you to browse its pages, where you will find rich reflections, theological insights, and updates on the life and mission of our beloved seminary.
As we reflect on this golden anniversary, we express our deepest gratitude to all who have supported St. Sophia Seminary in the past. Your prayers, encouragement, and contributions have been instrumental in sustaining this sacred institution. We are humbled by the legacy of excellence you have helped to build and maintain.
Looking to the future, I humbly ask for your continued support. By making a donation to St. Sophia Seminary, you will be investing in the education and formation of the future spiritual leaders of our Church - leaders who will carry forward the light of Christ to new generations.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your unwavering commitment to the mission of St. Sophia Seminary. May God bless you and your loved ones abundantly, now and always.
With prayers in Christ,
Archbishop Daniel
