As we begin to prepare ourselves for the coming Nativity Season, we hope that you will find the time once again to support St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary. This year's annual “Christmas at the Seminary” fundraiser will take place on Saturday, December  2, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event is designed as an "open house", where guests may view the school, its 300+ year old historic home and the Three Holy Hierarchs Chapel, meet with the current student body, enjoy light refreshments, and enjoy some joyful Christmas caroling and ornament making as we prepare for the Nativity season. There is no fee for the event, but we do ask for each attending to bring a gift from the list on the flyer to help alleviate the need to purchase these daily-used items throughout the school year.
As enrollment increases for all programs—Full-Time Residency, Short-Term Residency and Distance Learning courses—so do the needs of the students who live, study and eat on the campus. The gifts suggested on the enclosed flyer reflect the daily needs of the student body and staff.  This year we have added a gift registry at Target (or for your convenience) that can help you with selecting specific gifts for the needs of the Seminary.

We humbly ask for you to post the enclosed flyer at your parish hall or vestibule and announce the event to your congregation. We hope that this year’s fundraiser will be just as successful as
the previous years. We hope that your enthusiasm for the Seminary and its educational programming will encourage others to learn more about the school, the student body and become active in supporting the institution.

As always, the faculty, administration and student body are grateful for your continued support, whether it be spiritual, financial or your support at the fundraiser.
If you have any questions about the needs of the Seminary, please do not hesitate to call me at the Consistory (732-356-0090).
We hope to see you and your friends and family on Saturday, December 2nd
