St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary, an accredited member of the Association of Theological Schools (ATS), is honored to participate in the 2026 ATS–COA Biennial Meeting.
This important gathering brings together presidents, deans, faculty members, administrators, and institutional leaders from accredited theological schools throughout North America for plenary sessions, business meetings, workshops, strategic planning discussions, and collaborative engagement focused on the future of theological education.
Representing St. Sophia Seminary at this year’s Biennial Meeting are His Eminence Archbishop Daniel, Academic Dean of St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary; Very Rev. Fr. Theophan Mackey, Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs; and Very Rev. Fr. Vasyl Pasakas, Dean of Students.
Throughout the gathering, the representatives of St. Sophia Seminary are participating in discussions concerning theological education, institutional effectiveness, accreditation standards, student formation, academic innovation, and the evolving challenges and opportunities facing seminaries in the contemporary world.
The Biennial Meeting also provides opportunities for ATS governance activities, including elections, committee work, institutional networking, and the recognition of exemplary contributions to theological education.
Participation in this significant event reflects St. Sophia Seminary’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence, faithful Orthodox theological formation, and active engagement within the broader community of accredited theological schools. As the Seminary continues to prepare clergy and lay leaders for service in the Church and society, gatherings such as the ATS–COA Biennial Meeting provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, professional development, and the strengthening of relationships among theological institutions dedicated to the formation of future generations of Christian leaders.

Семінарія Святої Софії бере участь у зустрічі ATS–COA 2026 року
Семінарія Святої Софії Української Православної Церкви США, акредитований член Асоціації теологічних шкіл (Association of Theological Schools – ATS), має честь брати участь у зустрічі ATS–COA 2026 року.
Цей важливий форум об’єднує ректорів, деканів, викладачів, адміністраторів та керівників акредитованих богословських навчальних закладів Північної Америки для участі у пленарних засіданнях, робочих нарадах, семінарах, стратегічних обговореннях та співпраці, присвячених майбутньому богословської освіти.
Семінарію Святої Софії на цьогорічній Бієнальній зустрічі представляють: Високопреосвященніший Архієпископ Даниїл, Академічний декан Семінарії Святої Софії; протоієрей Феофан Маккей, Помічник декана з академічних питань; та протоієрей Василь Пасакас, Декан студентів.
Упродовж зустрічі представники Семінарії беруть активну участь в обговореннях, присвячених богословській освіті, інституційній ефективності, стандартам акредитації, формації студентів, академічним інноваціям, а також викликам і можливостям, які постають перед богословськими школами у сучасному світі.
Ця зустріч також передбачає діяльність, пов’язану з управлінням ATS, включаючи вибори до керівних органів, роботу комітетів, професійне спілкування між навчальними закладами та відзначення осіб, які зробили визначний внесок у розвиток богословської освіти.
Участь у цьому важливому заході є свідченням незмінної відданості Семінарії Святої Софії академічній досконалості, вірному православному богословському навчанню та активній співпраці з ширшою спільнотою акредитованих богословських шкіл. Продовжуючи свою місію підготовки духовенства та мирян до служіння Церкві та суспільству, Семінарія використовує такі зустрічі як цінну можливість для професійного розвитку, обміну досвідом та зміцнення взаємин між богословськими закладами, покликаними формувати майбутні покоління християнських лідерів.
